A retrospective exhibition of artworks at the Chessel Gallery, Moray House College of Education, Edinburgh where he had worked as a visual arts lecturer in the 1970’s.
An exhibition was presented in November 1990, shortly after his death, as an celebration of Jim Munro’s life and creative energy; as a visual artist, educationalist and musician. A comprehensive selection of sculpture, drawing and paintings were shown at the Chessel Gallery, Edinburgh .
This collection spanned both the early years, revealing classical training in figure drawings and portraiture at Ednburgh College of Art, through to the presentation of striking bronze work and award winning stainless steel constructions; such as ‘Quartet’ ‘Cabaret’ and ‘One singer one song’.
